I cannot access youtube from china anymore, is there a way around this?

I am currently visiting China and due to the great firewall of china a lot of my favorite websites are blocked (youtube, xanga, Plurk).

What is the best way for me to access any blocked sites and not have issues like with normal web proxies…youtube needs to stream videos…
hmm, so far most of the answers are not in response the my question, but some other issues…

Right now a proxy seems to be the best solution…but I still want an alternative to some web proxy.

How can you get to a blocked site without using a proxy?

I go to a boarding school in central Arkansas, and I live four hours away. The laptops we bring to school are blocked by the same system as in the Academic building, but more so. Proxies, blogs, streaming, etc. all these are blocked. We can use vvd1.net to get to youtube, but when it comes to places like xanga and all that, it doesn’t work. And obviously we can’t just, you know, wait until we get home, because we LIVE here. I’ve tried just translating the page and getting to it, no luck, it won’t let me log in, we have no access to internet options, and many proxies that have been tried are deemed useless. You see, our Computer Admins actually know what they’re doing. This is a math and science school, and they definitely know how to block things.
How can we get to sites without being yelled at by "ACCESS DENIED" screens that interfere with our lives? I find it only fair.

Does anyone know any good ways to get around a school internet block?

My school uses SmartFilter to block sites such as myspace or xanga. I have a study hall that is almost 2 hours long, and i can’t access any websites worth my time! I know I can use a proxy site, but most of them are blocked. Does anyone have any proxy sites that are uncommon and aren’t well known that I could use? Help would be appreciated. And please people- none of that "just wait till you get home" bull crap for the points. Helpful answers only please!

Whenever I try to access Xanga from China, the page does not load and comes up as "page not found". Meanwhile, it works just fine in the U.S. But in China I can’t even access Xanga through a proxy server. Why is this?
